Privacy Policy

Summary
Outbound is built to work entirely on your device. We do not run servers that collect your data, we do not use analytics or tracking, and we do not include any third-party advertising or data-collection tools. Everything you add to the app — parcel photos, receipts, notes, and tracking details — stays on your iPhone or iPad. We never see it, transmit it, or sell it.
In short: your data never leaves your device except through backups you control.
Who we are
Outbound (“the app”) is created and published by SoloShipped (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. Outbound has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers that receive your data. There is no analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind built into the app.
The app does let you store information locally on your device so it can do its job. This content is created and controlled by you, and is held only on your device:
- Photos of your parcels
- Proof-of-postage photos (receipts)
- Parcel titles and notes
- Recipient names you choose to enter
- Tracking numbers
- Carrier selections
- Scanned QR code / label contents
- Cut-off dates and reminder settings
We have no access to any of this. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party.
How your information is used
The information you store is used solely to provide the app's features on your device — for example, showing your list of parcels, displaying a saved QR code at the drop-off counter, attaching proof of postage to a parcel, and reminding you before a cut-off date.
It is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app for you.
Camera and photo access
Outbound asks for two device permissions, and only uses them for the purposes described:
- Camera — to photograph your parcels and to scan QR codes and shipping labels. The camera is only active while you are capturing a photo or scanning.
- Photo library — so you can pick an existing photo when adding a parcel, if you prefer not to take a new one.
Photos captured or selected in Outbound are saved within the app's own private storage on your device. They are not copied to any server and are not shared with us.
Notifications
If you set a cut-off date for a parcel, Outbound can send you a reminder before the deadline. These are local notifications scheduled on your device by the app itself. There is no push notification server involved, and scheduling a reminder does not send any information off your device. You can disable notifications at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Purchases
Outbound offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (Outbound Express) to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never receive or store your payment details, such as your card number or billing address.
Apple may provide us with anonymised, aggregated sales and purchase information through App Store Connect (for example, the number of purchases or refunds). This does not identify you personally. Your purchase is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data storage, retention, and backups
All of your Outbound data is stored locally on your device.
- Backups: If you have enabled iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, your Outbound data may be included in that backup. These backups are created and protected by Apple, and are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy — not by us.
- Retention: Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove individual parcels, photos, or receipts within the app at any time.
- Deletion: Deleting the app from your device removes its locally stored data from that device. (Data already included in a device or iCloud backup is managed by Apple.)
Data sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone. Outbound contains:
- No advertising networks
- No analytics or tracking services
- No third-party data-collection SDKs
The only “sharing” that occurs is when you choose to use the app's share features (for example, exporting a parcel's details or a QR code to send to someone). That action is initiated by you and goes only to the destination you select.
Children's privacy
Outbound is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone. Because the app collects no data, no personal information about children is gathered.
Your privacy rights
Because your data lives only on your device and we hold nothing about you, you are fully in control of your information at all times. You can view, edit, or delete any of it directly within the app, or remove all of it by deleting the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and the right not to have your data sold. Since we do not collect, process, store, or sell any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data held by us for these requests to act upon. Security
Your Outbound data is protected by iOS's built-in security, including app sandboxing and device-level encryption. Keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID helps keep your data secure.
International users
Outbound does not transmit your data off your device, so there is no transfer of your personal data across borders by us. Any backups you create are handled by Apple under Apple's own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time — for example, if the app's features change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and post the updated policy here. We encourage you to review it periodically.
